Join us in Portland, OR for a hands-on beekeeping workshop designed to educate, inspire, and empower both beginners and aspiring backyard beekeepers. Whether you’re bee-curious or ready to start your first hive, this workshop will guide you through the essentials of safely handling bees, understanding hive behavior, and building confidence around live colonies.

We’ll cover how to start your own colony from nucs, basic hive setup and equipment, seasonal hive management in the Pacific Northwest climate, and best practices for keeping your bees healthy and thriving. Participants will also learn the fundamentals of harvesting honey, when to harvest, how to extract responsibly, and how to bottle your own liquid gold.

This workshop is rooted in community, sustainability, and respect for pollinators. You’ll leave with practical knowledge, local resources, and the confidence to begin (or deepen) your beekeeping journey! Plus a renewed appreciation for the buzzing liveliness happening in our own backyards.
